I am looking to resolve the Genuine Advantage Validation problem once and for all for a client. It seems like the Sony VGN-NW240F should have been purchased and pre-installed with a Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium, and that should be the end of the story. However, sometimes the Windows Validation window shows up upon system start-up, and asks for validation. I see no reason that the owner of the PC should want to change the product key.
